Interlibrary Loan & Article Delivery Services (ILLiad)
Electronic Delivery Information

ILLiad offers the convenient option of having items delivered to you electronically without ever going to the library or waiting for mail delivery. Expect electronic articles to be available on your ILLiad account a few days earlier than a paper photocopy would be received. Electronic delivery is only available for those materials that are sent to us electronically by another library. Materials posted to your ILLiad account will remain accessible for 30 days from the date of posting until they are permanently deleted.

How do I sign up for electronic delivery?

Electronic delivery is the Pace Law Library ILLiad system default. When you create your ILLiad account, you will automatically be registered to receive materials electronically when they are sent electronically from the lending library.

How do I know if my computer can receive electronic materials?

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and configured to work with your Web browser in order to view, download, and print electronic materials. If you can read the 'Sample Page', then your computer has the necessary software installed to work with your Web browser. However, if your computer tells you the file type is unknown and asks if you want to save the file to disk, then you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

How do I get Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Acrobat Reader is available without charge from Adobe Systems, Inc. On the Adobe Systems, Inc. webpage, click the "Get Acrobat Reader" button to go directly to the download page.

How do I get my materials when they arrive?

How will I know which items have been delivered electronically?

The Pace Law Library ILLiad system sends you an e-mail notification for each item received. That e-mail will specify if the item is being held for you at the Circulation Desk or if it has been delivered electronically.

What if I do not want electronic delivery?

Electronic delivery is the preferred and more advantageous form of delivery. Reproduced materials can be provided more quickly and efficiently, with less waste of time and material resources. Electronically delivered materials can be downloaded and viewed, and printed or saved, from virtually any location at any time of the day. However, if you are unable to receive materials via electronic delivery, please notify the Pace Law Library Interlibrary Loan Department by e-mail at Inter-library-loans@law.pace.edu.

What if I have questions about electronic delivery?

You can e-mail questions to Inter-library-loans@law.pace.edu or call us at (914) 422-4137.
